An outing for all the family. Peco is
the the single largest UK manufacturer devoted exclusively to the
production of model railway tracks and accessories covering all of
the popular gauges. The headquarters are located close to us in the
picturesque fishing village of Beer where it has an indoor exhibition,
its own Beer Heights Light Railway (7¼-inch narrow gauge passenger-carrying
line, powered by miniature steam and diesel locomotives), childrens
play areas, crazy golf, good eating, as well as being the base for
the Peco Model Railway Products, two magazines and Model Railway Modelling
Training Courses. |

The
Donkey Sanctuary Sidmouth |

Just outside the town of Sidmouth, The
Donkey Sanctuary is home to around 500 donkeys. It was founded by
Dr Elisabeth D Svendsen, MBE in 1969 and its aim is to prevent the
suffering of donkeys worldwide. The Donkey Sanctuary is open 365 days
a year from 9.00 a.m. until dusk. Admission and parking are free.
Visitors are free to spend as much time as they wish, meeting the
donkeys in the main yard, strolling along the various field walks
or rambling down to the sea, pausing at the Nature Centre and conservation
area on the way. There are marked walks, nature trails, a visitors
centre & shop, toilet facilities, restaurant & ice cream shop.
The Donkey Sanctuary is also very pushchair, wheelchair & dog
friendly! |

Crealy
Adventure Park |

On the A3052, four minutes drive from
the M5 junction, Crealy Adventure Park has all kinds of amusements
for all of the family. Crealy has lots of small animals - guinea pigs,
rabbits, goats, miniature ponies, a lake, a nature trail, picnic areas,
all kinds of boating on the lake, plus if you want adventure ride
the Tidal Wave Log Flume or the El Pastil Loco Roller Coaster. All
the usual amenities are there - the whole family could spend a day
there and enjoy e;v;ery minute. |

The Barrel o' Beer offers good beer,
good wine, excellent food and and the Hunt Family pride themselves
on traditional values of hospitality and customer care. One of our
favourite pass times is to sit outside with a glass of wine (Carol)
and a pint of beer (Gerry) and watch the world go by! We also take
the family and visitors there when we want good food and a relaxed
atmosphere. |

has been recently refurbished and is now non-smoking. We have had
